Calvary Training Institute exists to equip God’s people to engage in and lead the work of ministry so that the local church may be built up (Ephesians 4:11-16). CTI is designed to help you fulfill your purpose in the body of Christ by providing theological, philosophical and practical training to better serve Jesus and His people.

Whether you are currently serving in the church, preparing for greater ministry responsibility, exploring a call to vocational ministry, considering church planting, or sensing God’s leading toward foreign missions, CTI is designed to help you grow in knowledge, character, and ministry effectiveness.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

What You’ll Learn

CTI provides training in three key areas:

Theological Training
Understanding what the Bible teaches and how to rightly handle God’s word.

Philosophical Training
Understanding why we do ministry the way we do it and the principles that guide decisions.

Practical Training
Understanding how ministry functions through hands-on experience and active participation.

Our goal is to go deeper than a simple transfer of information, by developing faithful servants who are equipped to build up the Body of Christ through biblical ministry.

Program Structure

CTI is a one-year program that runs from August through May and follows a semester-based schedule.

Weekly Commitment

    • 2-hours of classroom teaching on Thursday evenings
    • 2-hours of at-home study and writing
    • 2-hours of Sunday morning ministry rotation

Total weekly commitment: approximately 6 hours

In addition, ministry participation in major church events, including conferences, special services, and other ministry opportunities, is required throughout the year.

Who Is CTI For?

CTI is designed for all Christians who desire to grow in their ability to serve Jesus and strengthen His church, including:

  • Faithful servants seeking greater effectiveness in ministry
  • Current or future ministry leaders
  • Those exploring a call to vocational ministry
  • Those sensing a call to church planting
  • Those sensing a call to foreign missions

The church is strengthened when God’s people are engaged in the work of ministry.

Your ministry effectiveness exponentially increases when you are equipped for the work. If you are ready to invest in your spiritual development by deepening your experience in the theological, philosophical and practical aspects of ministry, you are invited to apply for the next CTI class.
