The mission of the Reliance Young Adult ministry is to walk with young adults as they grow and mature in their relationship with Jesus Christ and their understanding of His Word through Biblical doctrine, discussion, discipleship, development and deployment in Reliance Church and the community.
Our vision for the Reliance Young Adults is that they will be a generation of young people that know, love and serve God:
Know | We desire to grow in the knowledge of God that develops into true understanding as it sinks from our heads to our hearts.
Love | We love because He first loved us. Our love for Him translates into a love for the things He loves, which are the things above and the people around us.
Serve | Putting our faith into action by being part of the church ecosystem and serving where the Lord leads us as we discover, develop, and deploy our God given giftings.
Practices
We gather weekly on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm for fellowship, worship, and Bible study. But Reliance Young Adults is much more than just a weekly meet-up for young adults! As the Spirit-filled family of God, we incorporate these practices into everything we do:
Discipleship: Being a disciple of Christ means being a lifelong learner. We intentionally enter through the torn veil into discipleship as we actively grow in our knowledge and love of God.
Stewardship: We are stewards of every gift, opportunity, and resource that God has given us, as we joyfully labor unto glory in Kingdom work.
Fellowship: We seek to work together as we stand against the lies and the power of the enemy by showing the beauty of life and love.
In addition to meeting weekly, we intentionally create opportunities for fellowship and discipleship through various events like camping trips, beach days, worship nights, coffee crawls, and more!

Ministry Leader:
Josh Lazo is the Church Facility Custodian and is responsible for maintaining the church property and helping ministries facilitate Bible studies and events. Joshua is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College and has served in Junior High, High School, Young Adults, and Educational Ministries.
He and his wife Michaelah have one little girl, Keziah, and are expecting another daughter, as well as four children in Heaven that they are eagerly waiting to meet. Their chief aim is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Specialty fries. Carne Asada, Chicken Tikka Masala, Bulgolgi, etc.
